Creating Green New Quality Productivity

NGC Group’s Energy Conservation and Emissions Reduction practices were selected as a model case for climate action at the 2025 Climate Action Eco-Partner Conference in Beijing. Nanjing High Speed Gear Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (NGC) was recognized in the “Path to Carbon Neutrality – 2024 Model Cases for Climate Action.” The conference evaluated 41 shortlisted cases across nine categories, highlighting innovative carbon-reduction efforts and promoting replicable, industry-wide climate leadership aligned with peak carbon and carbon neutrality goals. NGC showcased comprehensive green manufacturing improvements in energy conservation and emissions reduction.

Highlights included:

Equipment Upgrades

• development of an advanced electric energy recovery system, achieving over 80% reduction in energy demand in simulations
• deployment of low-power, high-efficiency LED lighting with intelligent control to minimize waste.
  
  

Key Process Optimizations

• heat-treatment optimization to boost furnace loading and switch to cleaner power
• improved maintenance schedules and protocols in machining
• optimized drying temperatures and times in painting
• collectively driving emissions cuts of nearly 20% in some areas while maintaining production stability and product quality.
  
  

Clean Energy Deployment

• Since 2017, rapid expansion of rooftop photovoltaic capacity, reaching 19.83 MW by 2024 with an additional 6.66 MW planned for 2025
• supplying green power to manufacturing operations.
  
  

Packaging Recycling

• A wind-turbine gear packaging recycling system achieves “recovery-inspection-reuse” of packaging materials, with a closed-loop process ensuring 100% domestic circulation reuse by 2023.
• NGC also established a reusable packaging ecosystem through partner collaborations, improving recycling rates and reducing waste.
