GIGANTIC - NGC supplies gearboxes for one of the world's tallest tower cranes

The XGT55000-800S from XCMG is considered one of the largest tower cranes that can be moved on a crawler track. It is specially designed to carry heavy loads at great heights for large-scale projects, such as the construction of large industrial and power plants.
The renowned Chinese construction machinery manufacturer chose NGC's gear products for this model.

This crane requires a reliable combination of power and precision to safely handle loads of up to 800 tons, precisely position them, and achieve a load moment of 55,000 kNm. Sixteen traveling reducers from NGC's GJX series contribute significantly to the crane's smooth movement, load and speed control and increase the service life of the drive components under cyclic loading.

The features of NGC reducer gearboxes are as follows:

Safety Precise load control and stable travel position minimize turning maneuvers and risky situations.

Efficiency Smooth acceleration and deceleration reduce wear, lower energy consumption, and increase productivity.

Ease of maintenance Robust gearboxes reduce downtime and facilitate preventive maintenance.

Service life Frequent maximum loads require durable components to prevent failure.
